Before any relationship can evolve, trust must be found and earned alike. We are very well aware that your dog is probably the most important member of your family, not just a pet but an integral part of your life. Therefore we would like you to know more about the person that is about to earn your trust to bring your dog on an amazing adventure with us.
Trust can’t be expected, it needs to be earned. Without trust there shall not be any relationship
Introducing Chris
Meet Chris, who has been surrounded by dogs since his early childhood growing up in the USA. Chris is native German, born in Munich with half of his early childhood spent in Texas where he met his new pet family member and awesome Labrador, Blacky. Blacky was a very gentle and caring dog who lived a good life in a stable home despite that he had to move once from the USA back to Germany. Blacky had a long life of 14 years.
Over 20 years ago Chris moved to Hong Kong, his new second home, where he further explored his business career which put him in leadership positions where responsibility towards fellow colleagues and staff was an essential part of his duties. Chris started to support the community in Hong Kong throughout the years, supporting activities to clean the environment, support the Food Angels, meet the elderly and children with special needs.
In 2021 Chris decided to devote a good amount of time to those who depend on him even more, those who need humans to feed and care, dogs rescued from the streets or abandoned by their owners. He joined HKDR as volunteer dog walker where you will still be able to see him mostly twice a week doing what he likes most, engaging with and helping shelter dogs. Perhaps you will also see Chris during one of his dog hikes which he takes frequently.
Chris does well with all kinds of dogs, connects quick and without fear as he has the ability to engage rather easily, building trust and creating calm.
